Meho theoretically writes articles for the front page, but like so many others on the staff his contributions have been conspicuously absent of late. Thank god I have diarrhea of the word processor or we'd all be working for Armand by now.
Lakerz, as the Winner of Shame, it is your decision who receives the Game of Shame. I leave it entirely in your shameful hands. But someone should get something because we don't have many contests and I like giving things away.

Just the tiniest bit. How many other gaming sites are there where a contest of this type would have people elbowing each other to get a free game? How many might lie about their totals? Here, at TAP, we have good people who aren't greedy, and who are willing, nay, eager, to share with others.

Don't think too good of me Spike. Steerpike knows me well enough to realize that I'm giving the game to somebody else only to duck away from the last heaping amount of shame the contest was intended to provide. [Image Can Not Be Found]
Speaking of which, my new year's resolution for 2011 was to cut down the new game purchases and focus the whole year on playing more games. Halfway through January, I'm already lagging behind having not played anything yet but plunking down a pre-order for Gemini Rue.

My Contest of Shame lies in ruins. Lakerz has been "decent" and offered his game to another, and I think Meho is mad at me about that "theoretically writes for the front page" crack. My attempts to shame, humiliate, and terrify have resulted in an outpouring of honesty, generous behavior, and disgusting, disgusting community. These are virtues we normally celebrate at Tap-Repeatedly, but NOT DURING THE STEAM HOLIDAY SALE CONTEST OF SHAME!
Gregg can't win because he likes the work of Ridley Scott. Lakerz can't win because he saw through the core humiliation element of the contest and I failed to put "you can't fob your shame off on someone else" into the legalese. Meho could win, but he hasn't told me what game he wants because he's mad at me. Yapette can't win because she won't friend me on Steam.

Was the Game of Shame ever revealed? And Blade Runner is good, provided you go into it knowing what you're going to get.
I don't even know how I'm eligible to receive the Game of Shame - regrettably I didn't even enter the competition. Now, if Steam set up something for PS3 games, I would be a regular purchaser! I'd be happy to accept the prize on behalf of Tap's generosity (and am again humbled by the people here), yet I'd be equally happy abdicating the Game of Shame to any of my fellow Tappers, should any of you wish it.

Steerpike in his infinite wisdom and generosity has granted me L4D 1 & 2. I just played a little of the first this morning, and it's a pants-wettingly scary game. Hopefully we'll sort out some mutually acceptable times so I can jump in on a game with the rest of y'all! I think my Steam name is 'Wednesday977', and any of you would like to hit me up.
