I was going to save my first post for something more substantial, something epic but spotted this over at RPS and couldn’t resist sharing it. As Jim Rossignol mentioned it’s not worth explaining simply because it takes less than a minute from start to finish unless you’ve got a crap connection like me in which case about ten.
If you liked this then you should go and check out The Gutter and You Only Live Once, they’re in a similarly satirical vein and should take no longer than a few minutes.
Edit: I’ve just been reminded of You Have To Burn The Rope which if you haven’t played already you ought to; it’s a funny little thing. Again, it’s short and sweet. Like a half eaten flump.
Excellent choice for a first post. Welcome, Gregg!
I second that!
Those games reminded me of You Have To Burn The Rope.
You Have to Burn The Rope!! Why didn’t I remember that!? Nice one MrPokeylope, I’ve added it above π
Oh nice avatar by the way – Psychonauts was crazy bonkers good.
Thanks for the compliment mrlipid!
I love it! I’d just seen the same mention you did, Gregg, and Life is Hard just cracked me up. It’s very philosophical in its own way.
So glad to have you on board!
I just love the way the gameplay takes the one thing that games have been doing for eons and puts it out of reach. Then kicks you in the balls. Twice. It’s poignant and totally hilarious at the same time.
Ha! Outstanding. Nice find, Gregg.
Hahaha!
Funniest thing i’ve seen all week. I was chuckling from the first set of coins and then the end was “oh there’s hope…..maybe not” genius
Nice little touch with the mushroom power-up

Perfect way of summing it up. Isn’t it funny how a tiny little game like that can be digested in only 30 seconds and leave you smiling, but a game that was developed over a period of years and take half that long to complete can leave such a bad taste in your mouth?
Life is hard, indeed =P
Dale! Good to see you on here! Glad you and xtal liked it π I was laughing at the first coins as well. That was when I labelled it genius, never mind the final bit(s).
I’m going to try and link to more of these little experiences simply because as you said xtal, they can be digested in 30 seconds and leave you smiling. We’re all busy people so that can only be a good thing!
