These are tough times, friends. If it’s not hurricanes, it’s fire. If it’s not fire, it’s floods. If not floods, you can’t pay your electric bill. Whatever the reason, if you find yourself in the dark with a dead DS-Lite battery, you’re out of luck. What to do? Wait for morning, set your DS on the window sill, (assuming you still have one after Hurricane Smash-Everything-In-Sight just paid you a visit) and let it charge up via solar powered batteries. An entrepid, solder happy gamer has posted an Instructable, giving you step by step directions on how to mount solar panels on your DS. Since I don’t have the chops to mod a DS thusly, I’ll wait to hear back from someone who does, hopefully before next hurricane season.

That is profoundly awesome. Butterfingered as I am, I may just have to try this on my DS… I could literally play Chrono Trigger nonstop until victory!
Thanks, Scout. 🙂
Do it, Steerpike. You would never have to leave the hammock again.
Shit, just wait until Hideo Kojima hears about this. The new version of Boktai should logically be around the corner!!!
