Zeke Iddon is a good friend of Tap-Repeatedly, and of gaming in general. He penned a hilarious Celebrity Guest Editorial (with equally hilarious video) on Tale of Tales’ Bientôt l’été – that’s Flemish for wander pointlessly on a beach – and now his long-running comedy gaming blog Iron Man Mode is coming to a close. To make sure it goes out in a fiery orange boom of screams and death, Zeke has declared that starting May 23, at 9:00pm GMT, he will-

But basically his plan is to not leave his chair until he’s flown around the world in a flight simulator. Which may sound dull until you consider two things:

Throughout (and before) his adventure, he’s taking donations for the all-important Child’s Play Charity, which collects donations and toys for children’s hospitals around the world. The slogan Child’s Play uses – gamers give back – has always resonated with me. Gamers are still too often seen as selfish, but the tens of millions we’ve collectively raised to improve quality of life for young people and their families says otherwise. So be sure to check out Zeke’s livestream, and maybe fork over a ducat or two if you’re able. You’d be doing a good thing.
May 23, 9pm GMT. Hilarity will ensue. Believe me.
I feel compelled to point out that May 23 is also an important international holiday that we like to call Steerpike’s Birthday. I’m just saying. These two facts CANNOT BE COINCIDENCE.
