What a deal. Thanks for the notice. At that price I can't refuse.

Ha, I bet that's something to do with the Humble Alan Wake Bundle finishing a day or so ago. I nearly picked it up but, who am I kidding? I've got plenty to play already!

Sing it, Gregg my brother. My pile of games is ridonk, despite efforts to plow through it. Curse you new releases!

Still, at $3 for Alan Wake, you can't say no. I might buy a copy or two to sit in my inventory and give as gifts to worthy people. I have a small mountain of Defense Grids from their $2 sale.

Steam sale inbound!  Take cover!

I just picked up La-Mulana, Gone Home, and Silent Storm for a ridiculous pittance.  Xtal sold me on State of Decay so I'll be dipping into that well most likely.

Picked up Dishonored for $7.49. Keeping an eye on others. Let Skyrim slide at the same price, but I was tempted.

I shouldn't buy anything but... I have 199 games on Steam. Must... resist... temptation... to round up...

Steam Marines, XCOM, and State of Decay.  It's a regular orgy of excess over here at the SB household.  I also picked up a Secret World online code on Amazon for cheap.

You should be able to grab both State of Decay and the Breakdown DLC for less than the base game normally costs - not bad! I have to peruse a bit beyond that to see what further damage I might do.

I picked up Skyrim and Far Cry 3 (code via Amazon) and am looking at Tombraider. Will wait to see if it has a lower price.

Even turkey-induced coma can't stop the Steam Sale when I can just take out my phone and look at the deals!

Pokey, Tomb Raider is a bargain at the asking price, whatever that price may be.

TEN SECONDS LATER

$24.99. Hm.

Well, it's a bargain at that price, but you're probably wise to wait all the same, simply because it'll be lower soon. I got it for $12 during the summer sale. Regardless, unless your mileage varies dramatically from Dix's, Xtal's, and mine, you'll find it very enjoyable.

Far Cry 3 for $7.49? Can't say no to that. I had a press copy that deactivated before I finished it, and though the game has issues, there's more than enough to be had at that price.

And Grimrock! Which I didn't play the first time around! It's too much. The holiday sale is just around the corner!

Does anyone remember the exact order of Steam flavoured sales? There is the Thanksgiving one, but then there's another one shortly isn't there? Then boxing day or some silly thing too?

Didn't like Grimrock much. Didn't come close to finishing. Nice idea, but the timing based puzzles really put me off. I think the room with the endless respawning monsters was the last straw. Anyway, I liked it for a great long while.

I really liked Tomb Raider too, but I would wait.  It's been on sale for less than the current price before (I think I picked it up for $20 several months ago).  I'm tempted to grab Metro: Last Light for under $15, but I've got to close the floodgates at some point.  My backlog is threatening to bury me.

I want to like Grimrock, but I think it's perhaps a bit too old school for me.  I love what they've accomplished and glad that it was successful (it was right?).  And at that price it's so easy to give it a chance.

Anyway, I think some new consoles were released recently or something, maybe.  I can't hear over the Steam sale, and can't be bothered to investigate.

I'm pretty sure I paid $12 for Tomb Raider during the summer sale, so it's definitely been lower and will probably be in single digits by the holidays. To my recollection they do an Autumn/Thanksgiving sale and then the "Holiday Sale," which usually lasts about ten days. With US Thanksgiving being at the very end of November this year, the two are practically on top of each other.

Tombraider at $9.99 today. Bought! I don't have anything else on my list, but will watch the sale. cool

I got past the crowds in Grimrock OK, but needed extra hands to do one of the trap puzzles. Then I skipped an optional one I couldn't manage. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

geggis, HELP! My dudes in Frozen Synapse are standing behind cover, stationary, aiming in the right direction, and they still get tuned by some guy running and gunning from around a corner. What gives? I don't want to play like Steerpike, I don't.

I needed to program my keyboard to execute the keypresses/mouseclicks in exactly the right sequence to get through those timed Grimrock sections. During this process, I discovered that my graphics card wasn't fast enough to run the series of steps in time to make the deadline. A very unexpected problem in a predominantly non real-time game.
