As a non-player, I thought I'd look this one up. This guy is hilarious. I don't think this direct quote is the answer (and if it is, I'll stand in the next question for a low low price) but it's a hoot:

Being a Gemini like Jarrod, I can give a clever hint: there's a duality to the quote in question, which Sulla himself commented on, indicating that he had never had one or the other that had not been repaid in full.

Good guess, Jarrod, but that line is ascribed to the later emperor Gaius (Caligula), not to Sulla. But it has a similar ring to it. Spike's recent guess also has undercurrents of the quote we're looking for. As another clue: this was a way Sulla described himself.

This is a saying you've probably heard, but isn't common knowledge. I can reveal it and shoulder the shame of creating a trivia question too hard to answer if you guys want.
