Yep, it was an electric drill circa 1890. [Image Can Not Be Found]

The Scarecrow site doesn't allow its images to be posted on other sites. Clicking on the link results in a "403 Forbidden" error, and the picture does not show at all. You can see it because it's in your local cache.

I am an admin here. I'll see if I can figure out how to delete your post.

Success in the post deletion. It was a simple matter of decrypting the icons. Piece of cake for an ex-adventure gamer [Image Can Not Be Found]

I never got any error messages.  I was able to save the image in jpeg and tiff formats.  I even imported it into different image-manipulating programs.  I even tried to use a screen captured image.  I only had a problem in adding a large size image to this forum.  I've had that trouble before with other images from other sources.  Usually I can fuss with it and succeed, but in this case I couldn't.  The link to the image on my desktop was an attempt to insert a big-enough-to-see one.  I thought I deleted that link when I realized it wasn't any better than anything else I tried, and too, I didn't want that link to be visible.  But no big deal.  And thanks a bunch.

On to Trivia….

Thanks Jen.

Old people…give the younger among us the chance to answer this.

Candace Bergen (on TV in Murphy Brown and Boston Legal)  was, according to official records, an only child.  So why did so many people say that she had 2 older brothers, Charlie and Mortimer?  There were no adoptions and no out-of-wedlock children.  No step-children and no foster children.  No pets either, as far as I know.

Puppets... her dad was a ventriloquist? He had some ventro-puppets? If I recall she wrote a book about it...

Well done, Steerpike.  Does this mean that you are not officially one of the older folk here?? [Image Can Not Be Found]

Candace Bergen's father was Edgar Bergen, famous ventriloquist of the 1930's thru the 1970's.  His two most famous dummies were Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd, who were sometimes referred to as Candace Bergen's older brothers.

I did turn 35 on Sunday... I think that is officially "middle age." Judging by the sounds my knees make, I've got the body of an 82 year old.

Fear my upcoming question!

Happy Belated Birthday, Steerpike! [Image Can Not Be Found]

You're only 35?! Puh-lease. If your body is falling apart now, wait another 20 years then you'll really understand falling apart.

Happy birthday Steerpike.  I had no idea.  I wish you buckets of happiness.  Please don't tell me that 35 is officially middle aged - you are smack dab between my 2 kids.  What would that mean for me???

Didn't we have a birthday cake smiley at one time (a small wedge of cake with a candle in it)?  If not, we need one.  Cake should never be too far away.  Especially when we're celebrating a birthday.

Thanks, everyone. Virtual cake is as much a treat as the real stuff. 🙂

For my question, I am tempted – sorely tempted – to ask "What is the PHP code to introduce a line break between an array-pulled graphic and a title from a WordPress permalink database, and what is the syntax and line location in the Random Posts widget where that PHP instruction should go? Please show your work."

But I won't.

Instead!

The Roman dictator Lucius Cornelius Sulla coined a phrase that has been popularized by military – particularly by General James Mattis of the US Marines – in modern times. After his death, it was engraved on the marble box containing the urn with his ashes. What was this phrase?

"I shall return" would be good in the war sense and in the death sense.
