Mad Devils, by Itzy Interactive, gets a play test outing on Steam. Lead a squad of damned GIs to thwart a Nazi plot in hell
Valve has a new feature on Steamworks that allows developers to invite players to playtest their games, without the need to manage keys or manually distribution them. Not only does this give a lot of flexibility for controlling who’s in and who’s out, but it also removes any barriers to entry: an open invitation to take new games for a spin!
Mad Devils is a twin-stick World War 2 shooter in the vein of Loaded (remember it, on PlayStation?). While comparisons may be drawn with Diablo III, it has far more in common with Helldivers than it does Blizzard’s loot-em-up. Gorgeous motion comic cutscenes, combined with a fairly grim palette make it an appealing co-op prospect. Despite being in its Steam infancy, with a March release planned for both PC and consoles, Mad Devils is looking particularly promising. Here’s the latest trailer, and some key facts. Oh, and if you do want to give it a try, just head to its Steam page.

Ooo, I enjoy a a nice twin-stick bullet-hell game from time to time, it’s a good stress reliever. They’re also fun in “local multi,” which our younger readers may not have heard of because nowadays if you sit next to someone on the sofa you’ll kill them.
Seems like the Nazis would have realized by now that trying to harness supernatural powers isn’t a solid approach. It always blows up on them.
