Need I say more?
Capcom’s newest Nintendo DS entry in the Ace Attorney series – Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth – is scheduled for a late May 2009 Japanese release. Unlike the previous Phoenix Wright games, Gyakuten Kenji is not releasing with the dual Japanese/English languages so importing is not an option – unless you’re well versed in Japanese. I knew I should have started on My Japanese Coach before now.
As soon as we discover the English release date, you’ll be among the first to know.
I’d shout objection at there being no English translation, damn them!
Also, the EU version will be released late (as always, because usually NOE is rubbish on that), so I’ll be importing it still, just from America I guess!
I have actually never played an Ace Attorney game. I don’t take advantage of my DS the way I should. Perhaps I should start at the beginning…
Who are you and what have you done with Steerpike?!
You need to play the originals. They’re funny, touching and quirky as hell. Finding the originals without resorting to the dreaded eXtortion… er eBay or half.com may be difficult. I know that as of last year, the Japanese/English versions still existed at Play-Asia.
If I were nearby I’d offer them on loan. If you can, get them borrowed – while I don’t mind the pace, playing through it once unlocks the “skip text” for everything, meaning you can play at a much more bearable pace considering (surely you know someone who has got them?)
Start from the beginning or it won’t make much sense although each case is individual, the crazy story does go over multiple games 🙂
Ace is the place, for sure. Before my interest in the DS waned, that was my favorite game…the first Ace Attorney game. Well worth tracking them all down, I bet.
