I have had poutine before. It's yummy!

Not ET, not Spiderman. Scout, your other guess may be the one!

It has to be a summer blockbuster, likely an awful one... my guess goes to the second Transformers movie.

Nope, probably even more awful if that's possible.

Oh god... now I never saw Transformers 2, but I saw the first one which was wretched, in my not so humble opinion, so multiply that awful by about x6 for the sequel... jeez what could be worse than that?

It must be this decade, because I'm doubting inflation is taken into account for this particular record..... ummmm Spider-Man 3? That one was the worst kind of awful because S-M 2 was so great. And I personally contributed to 3's opening day funds...

No Spiderman movies.

I never saw Transformers 2 either, but Transformers 1 was like one giant GM commercial, with the added bonus ([Image Can Not Be Found]) of Shia LeBouf.

Okay, Twilight, Second Moon? Truly the end of civilization as we know it.

Bobby Kennedy was assassinated at the Los Angeles Ambassador Hotel on June 5, 1968. The Ambassador was an LA landmark, home to the famous Coconut Grove night club, hang out to such luminaries as Carole Lombard, Cary Grant, Marlene Dietrich and Gary Cooper as well as a popular filming location. The Ambassador Hotel was also the site of a cinema first a mere year and a half after it opened in 1921. What was that cinema first?

Sounds a couple of years early for talkies, but I'll go with that.  Got another guess if'n I'm wrong.

Hrmm... do you mean what was it before it was a cinema?

It's been a long day, and I need things spelled out to me [Image Can Not Be Found]

I actually got paid to talk to Twilight fans. I met them at St. Helens, Oregon where I scouted several of the locations used in some pivotal scenes between the two lovebirds. I got $250.00 for 60 minutes of pointing to buildings downtown. Did it twice and then the second movie came out and eclipsed the first one, which by the way is the top grossing movie, or was...by a woman director. I doubt the Hurt Locker exceeded it. Those were some hard core fans, I will tell you that.

Did you get to do any scouting for the second movie, Scout?

I know nothing about Twilight, but I do love Catherine Hardwicke and consider it a crime that they replaced her with the American Pie dude.

No, the second and third installaments moved up to Vancouver BC when they replaced Hardwicke. I only worked on the first one when they came to Portland.

I never saw the movies, but I read the first two books. The first one was barely tolerable, but the second one was 600 pages of whining teenage angst. Blech.

Back to the topic at hand, was it the first electric movie?

Was it the first movie shown on a reel-to-reel projector?
