As far as I can tell, it's a battle between to people made out of some sort of light or electricity... with regular brains where those go, and the guy in the foreground has a 3rd person over-the-shoulder camera perspective, and seems to be shooting the other guy. I could be completely wrong though, the pic is pretty small.

I don't think 6 is Darkseed because that screenshot looks a bit soft according to my memory. Darkseed scared the shit out of me, so much so that I haven't played it since... that intro... so horrible. It looks a bit like something out of Omikron/Nomad Soul but I'm sure we've had that one already.

#6 is not Darkseed, and it will be hard to guess even though you've all likely heard of the game.
Based on Fink's and Gregg's speculations, Toger should be able to guess #7.
I thought you guys were gonna have more trouble with The Thorn Birds, to tell the truth.

As to getting Thorn Birds, I have to admit that I once had a romance novel fetish for a while. So, not only did I read the book, I watched the mini-series. That coupled with an undying lust for Richard Chamberlain that begin during Dr Kildare (him + young Clint Eastwood as Rowdy in Rawhide was pre-teen swoon-worthy… yes, I've just dated myself). I've since shunned romance novels for all I'm worth…
Mostly.
On rare occasions, I'm lured by historical romance.
If it's more history than romance.
If someone hasn't killed someone else by the second chapter, I'm done.
