Update:Β 720p version now after the jump!
Technical difficulties, corrupted in-game audio and a bout of illness have all conspired to prevent me from putting up this video. As my first foray into recording in-game footage and editing it afterwards, it was hardly plain sailing. Despite all this, I’m reasonably pleased with the end result and I’ve taken the liberty of using the Guild Wars soundtrack as an accompaniment to the footage. What’s not to love about Jeremy Soule’s music? Hit the jump for the video, I hope you like it.

Nice work. Finally someone who has basically mastered the fluidity and flexibility of the combat system. Very nice Lewis B. When did you play this PvP match, near the end of the beta weekend or the start?
The mesmer profession is looking like a fantastic “hit n run” artist… I have a feeling I will be watching this video as part of a daily GW2 fix for awhile…
It’s great to see the potential chaos a Mesmer can create when the player uses plenty of illusions and keeps moving. I got a real kick out of this video in general because of the constantly moving action.
Shame about that low resolution video though, what with the compression errors and all, couldn’t make out any fine detail. I really wanted to know what that green orb thing was (pet, spell effect, whatever); but, couldn’t read the descriptor to find out.
It was nice to see a golem in action too.
Get down with your bad self Lewis. π
I’d given up on seeing any video from you outside of Yogscast. This was a nice surprise.
Thanks Brown π I’ve actually managed to get the sound working now and so have dropped the music and rendered it at 1280×720, this should make it 720p π
The new version is uploading on our Youtube channel as we speak!
Hi Lewis,
I’m just wondering…I don’t really see it clearly from the video, but in most fights, what is your highest source of damage coming from? I am planning on pvping as a mesmer with dual swords…but the weapon skills feel really defensive and lacking in damage…especially skills 345 are all defensive with only 1 and 2 being the only attacking skills. What is your take on this?
Terribad mesmers getting nerfed this patch.
