Street Fighter has red and white fighters (if those little blobs down the bottom are fighters), of course, but I don't know enough about the series to know if they ever fight under a Japanese arch...  Damn my fighting-game genre ignorance... Damn it to hell!

I'll give another mysterious clue: it's palatial.

Poor Gregg, I think I've actually broken him. I feel bad, but at the same time, awash with evil power.

I hate you Steerpike.  I am also stuck on image four.  Kings Quest? IK Karate? Shadowrun?

Oh the torment 🙁

@ Gregg - Hilarious!  ... and a little scary - demonic CSI.

New pics already?  Had we exhausted all attempts to guess the last ones?  I don't even think they're games anymore...  Maybe Steerpike is just cutting out random pictures in magazines to drive us insane - or perhaps he's doing some warped rorschach test on us all...

Man, none of these look familiar...  Is that horribly indiscinct blue blob in the first panel Sonic?  That's all I've got...  gonna hang up my controller, and cry myself to sleep in the corner.

Oh, and are you going to post answers to previous banners when new ones come out?  Seems fair, of course *cough*

Screw guessing. I'm going to feign total confidence in knowing these.

  1. Sonic the Hedgehog 3
  2. E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
  3. NHL '97
  4. Atomic Bomberman
  5. Unreal 2
  6. Gravy Trader

That's right. Bow, fools. [Image Can Not Be Found]

@Toger: That image sent me over the edge too.

@Jarrod: I agree. He's going to sneak in random magazine and paper clippings to deny us all of our deserved free games.

STEERPIKE I WANT ANSWERS GODAMMIT!!!!!11 /egfar;k;KUGHOUQH! [Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found]

Ahem.

The last selection of images were:

1. The Abyss
2. Mystery House
3. Portal
4. … GSI couldn't even crack this.
5. Phantasy Star 1
6. Punch-out

For this one I've got:

3/6 so far. Images 3,4 and 6 are giving me trouble.

The 3rd image reminds me of Y Tu Mama Tambien.

To be honest Jarrod I'm just enjoying making new banners. I'll slow down as I run out of ideas, because for the most part I choose games and films that have "meaning" to me and I'm a very shallow person.

Last Banner (Gregg threatened me with physical violence if I didn't tell)

1. The Abyss

2. Mystery House

3. Portal

4. Zelda II

5. Phantasy Star

6. Punch-Out

See, the Mysterious Clues were you'd guess it in TWO seconds (cuz it's Zelda TWO) but you'd DELAY your answer (cuz it was delayed for like a year which made Steerpike's little boy incarnation very sad). It's PALATIAL (cuz that scene is in one of the Palaces).

Those weren't very good clues.

I'll give new Mysterious Clues:

For Image Three, which reminds Gregg of Y Tu Mama Tambien: nyet.

For Image Four: don't think about your mortality.

For Image Six: the title says it all.

Life is the misery we endure between disappointments.

Zelda Un and Deux were the games that made me into a gamer, and I would've never guessed that. Gregg's right, it's no good, there are too many filters on it.

I like your style. [Image Can Not Be Found]

@Jen: I never played any of the original Zeldas, in fact I've only ever played Wind Waker but I always forget about the second one and that it was a platformer. As such I would have never considered it outside the usual top down ones. The NES loved that garish purple though.

Oh yeah, UPDATE!! Steerpike is still a bastard.

You wound me, Gregg. Your words wound me. Deeply. *snif*

Xtal, I particularly like your choice of NHL '97 for the third image. You're a confident fellow!

I never would have guessed the 2nd Zelda since I never played that one.

Like Jen, Castlevania and the original Zelda are what made me a gamer. My wallet has hated me ever since.

Come on Gregg, hurry up and get this lot, so that we can move on to a new lot where I might stand a better chance...  Or at least a chance!  Or at least a... a...  oh nevermind.

Nyet?  A Russian movie maybe?  Or an American movie with Russians?  Did 'Spies Like Us' have Russians at the end, in snow?  If so, I can't remember the girls wearing orange.

I've got all but the last one now. GSI are working around the clock on that. Lots of enhancing and stuff. Very technical.

This stuff is waaaay out of my league, but y'all and Steerpike crack me up![Image Can Not Be Found]

Belive it or not (I don't), I think if I slept on it enough and had enough nightmares I might actually remember picture 5... although I doubt the name.

Picture one also looks familiar.  As something I tried and got nowhere with and so traded away for a worn out, scratched up MYST-- no box or manual.

1. Nam

2. Blue Ice (but it's just a background picture on a wall)

3. Angel Devoid (you know, the remake with the face and all...)

4. Betrayal at Anatara or Krondor or the Radio Shack, for the Tandy or Commodore 64

5. (I actually know this one, deep in my subconscious... but why give it away?)

6. NHL '99 for Playstation 1  (which I actually have if anyone's interested).

Who'd da thought... Steerpike... such a hockey fan???
