You! Yes, you there! With the bowler hat and the suitcase leaning against a lamp post sipping a fine cup of delicious Yorkshire tea. Have you played VVVVVV yet? No? Why not? Because you’re a bad person? Yes, that must be it. In fact right here it says you’re a terrible person. And we weren’t even testing for that.
If you’ve yet to play VVVVVV despite the lure of delicious indie gaming goodness and even a Steam summer discount, then you literally no longer have any excuses. Today marks the return of the Humble Indie Bundle, the stupendously fantastical collection of cheap (or expensive! Pay what you like!) indie games ready for download straight through your interweb pipes and onto your swelling hard drives. Amongst the latest humble lineup is of course VVVVVV, the hard as nails platformer from Terry Cavanagh and scored by Magnus Pålsson (really, the soundtrack is excellent). As if the adorable yet excruciatingly difficult adventures of Captain Viridian weren’t enough to tempt you to part with your cash in the name of awesome games and charity, the humble folk are also throwing in Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, And Yet It Moves and Hammerfight. That’s 5 awesome indie games (including one about Crayons! Fucking crayons!) for as much as you’re willing to pay to support great games and worthy causes.
Go forth and be generous.

I am so out of money after my move (and my wife’s we need furniture for our new house phase)…but I need this. I feel insanely guilty going less than $10-15. /sigh… sorry dog, no food this paycheck for you. We have grass and rabbits now.
What in the hell is wrong with you?! VVVVVV?!
Have you never PLAYED Hammerfight? That game is worth a $15 donation alone!
Absolutely 100% VVVVVV. And 2.0 to boot!
I’ve not played beyond the demo of Hammerfight but I’m not sure how much my arm/wrist could take of the violent spin-y swing-y mouse action. I’ll definitely be making a return visit though when I pick up the Humble 3.
Did you mention the bundle is DRM-free? That got me grabbing it (admittedly for less than I’d have paid otherwise) even though I’d already got the games.
VVVVVV and Cogs are the highlights for me. Both quite beautiful.
