Joel Goodwin of Electron Dance and I end season five of Side by Side with, well, a sheep dog game called Disobedient Sheep. You can’t say we’ve not had variety this season!
Disobedient Sheep can be played co-operatively and competitively for up to four players locally. It has you and your chums trying to stop your sheep from getting thwomped by big blocks, crushed by rolling boulders and falling anchors and anvils, or blown away by bombs and dynamite. All in a day’s work. Herding your sheep with dog barks is tricky, and as the field steadily becomes more hazardous it starts to get frantic, fast. And that’s just co-op with two players! There are other modes available including king of the hill and a sort of ‘football’ game where you have to steal and score sheep in your cart, and items help spice things up too. I really want to try this with four players!
Disobedient Sheep is due out in 2020 but in the meantime you can add it to your wishlist on Steam.

This was great. What a hilarious game idea — can you imagine at parties?
The one controller thing though, I’m not sure about that. It’s not Disobedient Yoga Sheep, after all. You’d have to be pretty foldy to manage the game with a single shared controller for long.
Maybe it’s meant for couples, as a romance booster.
