The annual trade show circuit may be drawing to a close at this time of year, but for those of us in the UK the fun is only just beginning. The Earls Court exhibition centre in London has today opened its doors for this year’s Eurogamer Expo, the largest event of its kind on our shores and a valuable opportunity for the UK-based press and gamers to get their hands on the latest wares from all the major publishers and platform holders.
Some of our readers and peers are of course already there, much to our jealousy and general disdain, and due to the drudgery of various 9 to 5 jobs we’re unable to be there ourselves until the weekend. Come Saturday morning however, Lewis, Gregg and I will be wearily stepping off a train, tired but excited and hopefully full of breakfast, to gaze upon the latest games and report back on what we think of them. Expect lots of laughing at The Old Republic‘s animations and me crying into my lunch as I lose to another 14 year old at FIFA 12.
If anyone can drag Lewis away from the Guild Wars 2 booth, or stop Gregg harassing Terry Cavanagh, or prise the PS Vita from my cold lifeless hands, we may even have time to chat to some folks and look at some games other people might want us to check out. Feel free to pester us for impressions of games you’re interested in in the comments below, and we’ll try not to ignore your requests as best we can.
Onwards, to Londonshire!

If you do not look/play/talk/stalk, etc the new Zelda, you people are dead to me. I don’t care that you guys despise the Wii and call it names and hurt its feelings. I want to hear about Zelda. 😀
See you fellas Saturday evening. I just don’t know how Lewis is going to live with himself missing out on the Guild Wars 2 presentation tomorrow…
Aw that’s a shame, I’ve been there already today and will be gaming it up all tomorrow but I’m back to my work-a-day life by Friday evening. Wouldve relished the chance to have an equally terrible FIFA12 opponent (still haven’t got to grips with the tactical defending).
Just so you know Toger, I have no problem with the Wii, in fact, my Wii is currently residing at Lew’s house and as far as I know he never touches it.
I don’t have much of problem with Zelda per se, I just got (sea) sick of Wind Waker. All I know of the new Zelda game is that it has the word ‘Zelda’ in it. I can count on Nintendo for that.
HAHA! Harbour Master! It’s on Sunday too! 😉
OMGMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGMOGM!!!!!! :D:D:D:D
There’s a side of me that’s hoping Guild Wars 2 sucks big hairy ones just to see/hear/read your reaction Lew.
Oh piss off! 😉 If even RPS loved it to bits, I’m gonna die a happy man.
Damn it. I do so enjoy misery. Well I indulged in the free rps drinks this evening. THAT is not happening on sunday, lewis. Bwahahahah.
