Prematurity

Today’s Important Announcement from the World of Fiction: a new book. My brother Marcus, as many of you know, is a successful novelist. Seriously. You can find his books in bookstores and everything.

Marcus’s fifth novel, The Two Deaths of Daniel Hayes, will be published into the universe on June 9.

The Two Deaths of Daniel Hayes has been called “dazzling,” and “A terrific read,” while his previous novels have earned him accolades like “The new reigning prince of crime fiction,” and compliments for creating “the scariest villain in recent memory.” So he’s pretty good. All four of his previous novels have been optioned as films; I suspect the same will happen here.

Why am I telling you this if the book doesn’t come out until June 9? Because publishers make important decisions these days based on pre-orders. The more the better, so pre-ordering is like giving an author an early ass-slap of fandom. If you like crime fiction you’ll enjoy Marcus’s work, and if you’re thinking you might be wanting something to read around the ninth of June, I say, “why wait? Be prepared with a pre-order of The Two Deaths of Daniel Hayes.”

Who is this Daniel Hayes? How can he die more than just the one time? What could it all mean? Read it and find out!

I know I will sound incredibly metrosexual now, but are Marcus’ novels available in electronic form? Like, Kindle and stuff? I love meself some crime fiction and would love to sample it…

Edit: OK, Amazon responds with a resounding YES!!! I might preorder this book!

Indeed, all of his novels are available in all major electronic formats. Kindle, Nook, audiobook.

Oh ill pick this up! Can I do a Tap review? 😉

  • Armand 04/05/2011

Is it available in paperback? I’m sure I can click a link and see, but watch me not do that anyway…

Indeed, all of Marcus’s books are available not merely in electronic format, but in convenient book format as well, paperback and hardcover. If you behave very nicely, I might be able to get some signed volumes out of him.

I have read and greatly enjoyed three of Marcus’s books: I obviously need to do some catching up! This time it will be the Kindle verssion as I became va convert at Christmas (much to my surprise).
