Baldur's 2 has some very difficult fights late in the game [cough lich cough] but is a much better game than ToEE. The expansion is better still. Definitely need to ride the pause button to manually choose actions; it's like Icewind Dale with a varied and fun story.

Yap, Little King's Story is so adorable! It's like Pikmin with people. I have no idea why I have a tolerance for these types of games. It might actually be genetic as my sister and one of my nephews loves the Harvest Moon series, too. Oh the other hand, I don't have a tolerance for tinkering with mods, but you do. So, I think it all evens out.
I played Little King's Story round at my brothers a few months ago and thought it looked great. Me wants. I heard it's not a very 'little' game though…
And oooo! Baldur's Gate II. Still haven't played any of the Baldur's Gate series.
I played the first 5 minutes of Baldur's Gate 2 at a LAN party back in 2000. I bought the Ten Billion DVD BG2 Collection some years later ... and have yet to install it. The prospect of playing BG2 is like looking at my book shelf and telling myself that one day I will read Atlas Shrugged.

Gregg, Little King's Story is on sale today on Amazon for US$13.99. I don't know if that applies to Amazaon UK or not as I'm too lazy to look. [Image Can Not Be Found]
@xtal: I think I have that same BG2 DVD collection, but I'm seriously considering picking up the digital version anyway.

I haven't played any of the text based Zorks either. Those games are just a bit too hardcore for me. 😀
Played a graphic based Zork game in the 90's called Return to Zork which would have been impossible to beat without a comprehensive walkthrough.
I remember the Police Quest games I played being pretty good when I was a kid. I think they are adventure games...
Zork I was the first game I ever played. I saw a friend had all these post-it notes on his huge 13" monitor and a hand drawn map on the wall over the desk. I asked what that was... I had just bought my first PC, a 286. I think it was 1985 or 86. I was supposed to be writing short stories up in my little office (my only good reason for buying a computer at the time) and my girlfriend would poke her head in the door and catch me playing Zork instead and give me shit for my shiftless ways. I finally got stuck halfway through Zork III at the Cerebus cave and there were no walkthroughs at the time so I gave up. I really need to finish that game.
