Can I add this thread as a new place for reporting sales, deals and what-not?
For starters, GoG is having an insane NoDRM sale until the 22nd. It's nuts I tell you.

Great idea - I'm such a Steam fanboy I often miss sales at other outlets, and some of them are doozies. I was just admiring that GOG sale this morning. If you're lacking in games, you can build a whole library from what they're offering.

I guess the free games of ps+ don't exactly qualify as sales but great stuff continues to be added. The latest, after DXHR a couple weeks ago:
-Machinarium
-LBP Karting
-XCOM (the new one of course)
-Uncharted 3
-Saints Row: the Third

Sweet! Now I don't have an excuse to not play Uncharted 3. I recently picked up Machinarium on sale at GoG so I'm good there. XCOM I own already. The rest are uninteresting to me.

I'll play Machinarium again just because it was pretty charming, and I'm a bit curious about Saints Row, having never played one of the games. Most obviously of course I'll happily play Uncharted 3 for zero dollars.
Be warned though - it's a 40 GB download, so you need a hell of a lot of space if you have a default 120 GB drive like I still do.

I'm finding that out the hard way about Uncharted 3. My HD is 150Gig and filling fast. Fortunately, not all the download components are required. I believe you can dispense with the 3D cinematics and the non-English language packs.

I picked up FTL, King of Dragon Pass, Defender's Quest and Miasmata for about $10 on GOG over the weekend, which is just ridiculous. It felt kind of wrong.

I'm watching that one and will probably pick it up. I did get Witcher 2 for $4.99. Still waiting for a great price on Dishonored and Far Cry 3.

Steam is having a sale on all Capcom titles. Discounts up to 75%. Too bad Capcom games have taken such a dive in quality lately. Still, I'll probably pick up Lost Planet. Always meant to try that one out, but only on the cheap.

I've decided to forego the digital copy of The Last of Us. I realized that even at $35, that's too much for a digital copy, for me anyway. I'll probably pick up those $2 Fatal Frames next week though. Those are some creeeepy games.

Fuck all, I just bought DMC on Steam. You owe me seven dollars, Steam!
Those deals are, indeed, ridiculous. Some are practically first run games. The PS+ subscription is something I've never regretted, even during my long PS3 dry spells (like right now) when I don't even turn it on for weeks at a time.
Speaking of which, I have a dumb question.
Where does it, uhm, show you how much HDD space you have left? I've looked in the logical places, but not only does it seem to report data backwards, it doesn't tote everything up in one tidy number. I feel like I'm missing something and you guys will mock me, but at least I'll know how much space is left.

With Windows 7 you should just be able to open Computer and see the amount listed under the icon for your hard drive. Failing that, right-clicking on it and selecting Properties should do the trick. It was basically the same back to at least XP. Probably farther.
If you're using some other OS then I don't know how to save you.

I feel like I know how to do this too but I'm not certain. Have you tried pulling the hard drive out and just sort of eyeballing how much stuff is inside? Or, like, weighing it? You did take the empty weight of your hard drive when you got it, right?
