I’m surprised one of my fellow writers wasn’t on this like a tramp around chips yesterday and yet in the eyes of the internet, I guess it might now be considered old news being only one day old. Still, I’ve just watched it again for the sheer joy of it and I’m sure there are plenty out there who haven’t seen it yet.
Voiced by J.K Simmons of Juno fame (amongst many others), Valve really have nailed the fun and mood of Aperture Laboratories, topped with a hint of Pixar. Enjoy.
Oh and while I’m at it, you can find the official Portal 2 TV advertisement, directed and produced entirely by Valve, right here. It’s a bit good.

I for one don’t want to see a single additional ad or preview of Portal 2. I want the experience of playing it to be as fresh and surprising as the original, and I’m afraid the overflow of PR has already made that impossible. Just ignoring all Portal 2 content until the game’s release.
I didn’t play it until long after everyone had gone on and on about how great it was.
Trust me Armand. Didn’t change how fresh it seemed one little bit.
Armand, you surprise me!
I’m actually shocked, these videos show nothing of the game besides being fun videos that give a sense of the world. What’s not to love about them? They won’t have any impact on your game, surely?
Hah hah, I wouldn’t know that, since I haven’t watched them… yet. If you’re sure they won’t take away from the “freshness” of the game, than I’ll watch them later tonight.
Oh and Ernest. I was pretty late in playing Portal as well, but still knew next to nothing about the game. I’d played the first couple levels when it first came out, but didn’t play the full thing until years later. I was upset when I finally did finish it that it took me so long.
The video has been removed, alas. TV spot is still available, at least but I’m curious to see what the original post was actually about. Are there alternative hosting links available, anyone?
The links been fixed Alexiel 🙂
