If, like me, you enjoy awesomely cryptic (and ultimately pointless) teaser videos then check out the newly released one for Fallout New Vegas.

With nothing more to go on than blind faith, I really think that much like Fallout 3, New Vegas will be a surprise winner. Part of that is because of Fallout 3's unexpected success;  but most of it lies in my confidence in developer Obsidian Entertainment: they were behind my-- inexplicably-- favourite game, the largely unheralded sequel: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Not a lot to go on, but besides that, and I'm sure most everyone here already knows this, Obsidian happens to be comprised of key Black Isle folk who brought us the first two Fallouts.

It's not really that I even think about having high hopes for this game; I just know it will be solid. I'll go out on a limb and say better than Fallout 3.

I've watched this trailer half a dozen times lately and always get a tingle from the tag line.

I am purposively avoiding press on this though that will become virtually impossible as the release date draws near. I think just the change of setting back to the desert after the DC wasteland will re-engerize this series for me. I have loved all the Fallouts in their own way (ahhh......) and expect Fallout 4 to be no different.

Thanks for posting this xtal.

My son and I will be waiting with bated breath.  Assuming release delays, we should be just about ready for it by the end of the year.  That is if son will get his butt in gear and catch up to me so that we can start to install the add-ons we've got.  I know that New Vegas will be a stand-alone game, and that's OK by me.
