I played a bit of this first time round, but never finished the single player and didn't play any multiplayer at all and from what I've seen the gameplay isn't as different as some would like and if anything this trailer only serves to create impossible to meet expectations (hello MechWarrior II) but I'm positive it will move a gazillion units. Coming out next Tuesday!
And this Tron inspired keyboard and mouse look sweet

StarCraft II indeed looks like a simple graphical re-polishing of the first game, but like you said that will sell gazillions.
I very much enjoyed the single player campaigns of StarCraft and was planning to pick up SC2 until they announced it would be released as 3 separate games. That's ridiculous, so, instead of buying 3 games for $59.99 when I don't even care to touch the multi-player portion, I'll wait until 2011 or 2012 when the whole "trilogy" is on Steam for a fistful of dollars.
If being wrong's a crime I'm serving forever

I'm wrestling with that too, xtal. Breaking the three campaigns into three games is greedy, and while I did love single-player Starcraft, from what I can see they're really not innovating much beyond that proven formula. While we all ridiculed Doom 3 for failing to innovate beyond Doom 2, in Starcraft's defense, at least the fundamentals are still just as sound today. Still, at $50 and with lots of games to play right now, I'm unsure if I'll take the plunge tomorrow. I wish it were selling on Steam, because then I could be 100% sure that it'll be like three cents in a few months.

Steerpike, you and 1.8 million other people on day 1.

Plus each game box came with two or three 7-hour guest passes for someone else. I wonder how the Battle.Net servers are faring.
Helmut, I too would love a cool lighted keyboard. I'd had my eye on the Optimus from Art Lebedev until the thing turned out to be $2,000; this Tron one, though, might just fit the bill.

I thought those lebedev keyboards were cool too. I like the artwork from the guy's site. But I know I'd never look at the keys. The odd thing about the G15 is that I have a first gen one where all the paint wore off the keys so instead of letters I have just bright spots. But seeing peripherally the location of the left shift key is enough to locate the familiar buttons maim, kill, lob hurtful things, reload, etc.
