Are you gonna take the plunge now that you've dipped your RPG toes into Fallout?

She's one of us now…

'Tis true.  3 weeks tomorrow, and I'm still loving F3.  Getting better at RPGness.  What I most like about it is the reality, or possible reality, of it.  There's nothing wrong with games/stories like Dragon Age, but they aren't for me.  When I was about 9 I started reading The Hardy Boys with an occasional Nancy Drew thrown in.  No fairy tales even then.  It's going to be interesting to see what I choose for RPG #2.  Of course there are adventue games in my queue, and more on the horizon....

I started out with the exact same books you did and didn't start to read fantasy until adult-hood... or what passes for it, I'm still not sure I'm actually an adult. I've really only read Eddings; the never-moving-forward Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time (which I stopped reading around volume 4) and GRRM's Ice and Fire series... okay, I lied. I loved Ray Bradbury as a child. I blame him. [Image Can Not Be Found]

I too love Bradbury.  And I only appear to be an adult to some.  Inside my head I'm...well, something far removed from my real age.  I was never a googlie-eyed teenaged girl, thankfully.  Made it hard for me to be a good daughter-mom, but it made me a great son-mom.

By the way, one of the things I gave my son for Christmas was Fallout 3.  I told him to open it immediately, and he is playing as I type.  What a kid!

Spike, I think we were separated at birth. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Now that you've played your first RPG, you're doomed to play more. Trust me. You'll be especially particular about which RPGs you choose to play, but you will be back. They're addicting. And great stress relievers.
