A man named Sal9000 has married Nene Anegasaki, a character in the game Love Plus. The marriage took place at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and was attended by a live audience, as well as an MC and conducted by a legitimate human priest.
I can see the benefits of a marriage like this...and the downside as well. Only in Japan?

Within an MMO I get. This just seems so...socially inept guy gets the only woman who'll have him. Of course I don't know the guy. Maybe he has no trouble distinguishing RL from the virtual. Or maybe he simply doesn't need a woman who will cook and clean for him.
