I saw a thread on Gameboomers which provided a link to an Amazon seller who apparently has quite a few boxed copies of 'Blue Heat' for sale.  This used to be one of the rarer adventure titles out there.  But now it can be had by all for the paltry sum of $7.99 plus shipping!  [Image Can Not Be Found]  I'd take advantage of this opportunity, but I already own a j/c copy of the game.  Sure, it would be nice to have a boxed version, but I need to control my buying urges as I have way to many games as it is.

Sounds interesting, what with being FMV, but it sounds like getting it to run in Windows would be a pain in the neck.  Nothing I read mentioned compatibility mode, so I wonder if that is an option.

I believe I read where people got the game running without too much hassle with XP.  Not sure about Vista though.  Worse case scenario, install that program that allows you to set up a virtual drive, where you can install Win98 inside of it and play the older games that way.

Thanks for the tip, lakerz. I once had a rather beat up boxed copy of this game I bought for way too much money off another collector who somewhat, actually quite a bit, misrepesented the box's condition, if I may be so bold. Still I sold it for more than I paid for it, with full disclosure of it's condition I might add, and so it ended well. I just ordered the thing again just to see WTF.

By the way, it is a pretty fun game despite it's rarity status. I liked it a lot and always wondered if a stash would show up someday. I played it on a Win 98 box I still have sitting around so I have no idea if it can be played on XP or Windows 7. For 8 bucks plus shipping, I'll report back.
