My soul is now totally lost. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I don't do videos. Only look at YouTube when someone I know sends me a link. Certainly never posted one. But today I both registered, and posted a video. From iTunesU I downloaded a 10 webisode series used by the Indianapolis Museum of Art to publicize an exhibit of Roman art on loan from The Louvre. Some of the webisodes are informative, mini lectures, really. Some have beautiful images, and some are very funny. None are more than 5 minutes long. This one is funny and falls into the category of The more things change…
"…you just keep on trying 'til you run out of cake."
Ahhh, garum. How well I remember it from my university years. Between pages-long recipes for that, and pages-long descriptions of crucifixion, plus the odd Lang film, my college education and degrees made me complete. My parents asked me what I'd do with degrees in film theory and Roman history, and what could I say but "well, I could remake Spartacus, or I could write for a videogame site." Amazingly, they bought it.
Tanta vis probitatis est ut eam etiam in hostem diligamus!
Life is the misery we endure between disappointments.
