I hear your neighborhood is in for like the worst snowstorm in the history of snow. Stay in. FIGHT THE URGE TO GO OUT. You're not from a place that knows snow. Be careful, be well.

All others on the northwestern seaboard of the United States, do the same!

Life is the misery we endure between disappointments.

Ha. Just saw this. We had like an inch of snow that day.  It was gone the next day. But other areas north and south and east of me got hammered. I only live at like 100 feet above sea level so rarely see snow. Man, do the local newcasters get in a twist at the very whisper of a flake of snow. Poor bastards up on overpasses, trying to find a patch of white stuff to show the world.

Right now the big danger is possible flooding. Luckily, this weekend is supposed to clear up which will help a lot. It's been raining now for 10 days.

I grew up in Illinois back when they used to get some serious winters so I'm good with snow. It's all the crazies that come from more southern climes you have to watch out for. They think nothing of slamming on their brakes while careening down a steep hill instead of gently pumping them to taper down the speed. Lock up your wheels! That will help.

Hey Scout, I chuckled reading this and then remember just the other evening there was a threat of snow in our area and thought I'd amuse myself and turn on local news and sure enough, a possible dusting was designated as breaking news  snowman
