Yes, I would expect as much from someone with a troll on his desk, and animal print accessories!  [Image Can Not Be Found]

OMG! Trolls! I forget they existed from time to time, and then BLAM! Back into my mental space!

After beginning this post with a rather sad photo of my console games drawer, which captured the bottom of my television and consoles, I'll finally follow that up with some sexy nighttime photos of my scrawny computer desk area and accompanying book/CD/LP shelf. They're awful dark pictures because hey, why not! It's night time right now and I can't just make the sun reappear.

[edit: oh good god I can't insert pictures for shit... I've had to delete the meager descriptions because it just borkened the entire post]

[edit 2: I give up]

Don't feel bad, xtal. I had a hard time uploading my last pic without somehow pasting in text.  I was using the insert image icon but it's problematic suddenly.

Nice setup. I see a turntable, yah?

@Scout: That's for playing his Stars Of The Lid and Their Refinement Of The Decline vinyl. [Image Can Not Be Found]

hey greggis! thanks for the compliment 🙂

i went back and reviewed your video and now i can see your lounging setup! love the empty rolling rocks... a man after my own heart 🙂

i especially like your "f*cking huge computer" remark! i try to do all of my own maintenance and upgrades but occasionally i need some expert help... you should've seen the look on the tech's face when i first hauled it in... after the first few "how do you do's" he asked if a was a gamer... LOL!

Mine's like an anvil masquerading as a computer! I'm in the process of selecting components for my first ever new rig which I'm going to build myself EEK! Fingers crossed it all goes well...

I opened a new thread up about right here.

Sexy night time photos xtal. It all looks very cosy. Is that a lump of cheese and cracker next to the beer? Very nice!

And what's with the Kryptonite case?

between you, yappette, and scout, i'm feeling inspired!

my rig was custom built for me by widowPC… 6 years ago! OMG!

she still runs like a champ, upgraded sound and vid cards several times, maxxed out the memory capability but still have half my main HD still clean and free…

but sooner or later i'm gonna have to start over because we all know that shit wears out and breaks!

i'm gonna follow your adventure 🙂

@Scout, yep, my beloved turntable, which at the time I bought it (2006) was the most expensive purchase I had made to date. $900. Ha!

@Gregg, impressive eye, sir. It is a hunk of delicious creamy blue cheese accompanied by crackers. There's an amazing cheese store near my place that sells the stuff for honest to goodness prices, unlike large grocers. $4 for a pretty generous triangle ... I ate it all myself. So salty/smoky/old. Mmmmm!

I can't imagine that many people have a dedicated cheese shop nearby but so too do I xtal. It's been going for years and years and is situated under an old indoor market which unfortunately seems to get quieter and quieter every time I visit. The cheese shop (affectionately known as 'The Cheese Factor') has been visited by quite a few of the nation's TV foodies and they just have the most mind boggling array of the good stuff. Hmm, what was the one I saw the other day... I think it was cranberry and stout cheese. There was another with mango in it, another that was totally green from sage. They've got all sorts, it's incredible. Ah, cheese...

Look at everyone!  Even itemising their command centres!

Belatedly, I thought Armand kinda looked like his avatar too - good to "meet" you and Scout [Image Can Not Be Found]  It's always need to see new people and places, broadens the mind, as they say.

The tenats in our house have until the 7th of July to move out, and then we'll move in (although our tenants may move out sooner if they wish).  We'll have a bit of renovating to do (the previous owners painted their house by going around all of the whitegoods etc), and I've been instructed that we'll renovate my man-cave last - however, when it's done I'll post pics up here of my *new* setup [Image Can Not Be Found]
