Mesmer skills felt just right so now I have a Factions Mo/Me who is lvl 11! Over-taking my main alt in Nightfall by 2 lvls. [Image Can Not Be Found] Olivia (R/Mo) will not be pleased.
I want to cross over & pick up where I left off in that damnable Prophecies desert somewhere just before the Ascension..fighting my doppelganger…is that what it's called? If I'm coming from Factions, I'll detour first & pick up the heroes in Nightfall. Finally….A Master Plan!

Mesmer can work well in concert with Monk skills. I think if I ever did a Mesmer primary, I'd think about Monk for secondary, as well. Of course, I like going with Monk secondary with any character just to get the freedom of being able to res the whole group if I need to when soloing.

Jaspar, before more work called, I was deep into running Faction quests. I stumbled into a hard, early Nightfall mission and though I almost pulled it out of the fire, I got clumsy and died at the very end. Now I remember this game. I'm leveling up my heroes in Factions for a return engagement. I'm going with lots of casters, necros, and rangers with the requisiste warrior and monk of course. I'm figuring out how to array them using the controls that apparently were added years ago to Guild Wars to make it playable solo.
Eventually it's back to Prophecies to take on Thunderhead Keep.
It's funny but it's evident that my character is "old" due to his armor. I even aged his face and gave him gray hair just to go with the 4 year out of date look.

I made it to Lion's Arch in Prophecies! Level 15 wearing too fancy for original GW armor although it's still pretty much crap protection-wise. Tried the mission for Nightfall but no way can my lvl 10 henchbots & I survive lvl 18s, 20s & 24s. Looks like it'll be a long time before this alt meets any heroes. Alas & be damned. So weird running around Lion's Arch, like time stood still or the clock turned back. Last time here was 4-5 RL years ago & players look just the same. Few foreigners like me that I could see (fancy clothes from expansions mark the emigrant [Image Can Not Be Found]).
I need a break, it's getting hard! And I am a Class A Piss Poor Monk. Who seems to be a Mesmer at heart. Playing much like a WoW warlock. Who curses and rezzes. Misses her minions. But heals.
Edit: wiki says I can do a quest from Factions–>Nightfall with eight lvl 20 henchbots + npcs. That sounds more doable so maybe I will meet Mr. K. this weekend.

Friday @ 11 pm I made it to Nightfall*! [Image Can Not Be Found]
Took 2 tries as these Giant Hammer Things (that look like oil well pumps in Texas) have a wicked spell that rained death upon us & killed me. Multiple times. Luckily my team's A.I. plays better than me. Especially the Monk. [Image Can Not Be Found]
[Image Can Not Be Found]X*****X**** for anyone listening in, Nightfall is the addon with Hero henchpeople, way better than henchies available in either GW or Factions.

Heroes I'm using:
Koss the Warrior
Dunkoro the Monk
Jin the Ranger (I'm leveling her in Factions)
I am pretty impressed with the Factions Henchman, Jamie the Healer. She is lightening fast at running in and rezzing party members. Koss is just a rock. I plant him in front of the group when taking on a mob and let him just wail away while the rest of us cast like crazy. Once we have the odds on our side I turn my party loose to run to Koss and help finish them off. I made Jin a R/E like me and gave her all my skills. She seems to have weak armor though which is odd as I can take almost as much punishment as Koss. [Image Can Not Be Found]
