After the 2 Penumbras I wanted to play something light.  I bought the 2009 Carol Reed game from MDNA, but never played it.  Last month I bought the 2010 game.  Last week I played the latest, Blue Madonna, and tonight I finished the 2009 game, Black Circle.  Both were enjoyable, but after the games I've been playing the last 18 months they seem quite tame.  Many of the puzzles are reasonably easy, but a few always make me scratch my head for a bit.  I'm glad that the Nyqvists are using Photoshop less and less with each game.  Norrkoping is a pretty little city and needs no cosmetic redo.  But I digress.

Len Green has been listed as Creative Consultant for most, if not all of the MDNA games.  I also see his name in credits for other games as CC or beta tester.  Occasionally the Nyqvists will use names or initials of real people in their games.  They might show up on a mail box or sign.  In the 2 most recent games I've seen "L.Green" on a motorcycle license plate, E.Nyqvist and J. Jensen on auto license plates.

In Black Circle Len Green gets a starring role.  He plays Carol Reed's neighbor, Oscar, a retired doctor who finds a dead body on his nightly walk.  He goes home to call the police to report it, but by the time the police arrive, the body is gone.  Of course the police think he's an old, half-senile man.  Carol agrees to investigate for him.

I was glad to see Len getting his day in the sun after all these years of playing the games he so loves.  I hope he is around to consult for a long time to come.

BTW:  One of TAP's regulars has a credit in one of the Carol Reed games.  What a bunch of high-flyers we have here!   ;>)

Len used to come onto Four Fat Chicks years ago. He was a busy, busy guy then too. I loved his spunk. He had an opinon and he'd tell you about it too.

Sure, I remember Len's visits well. He was a fun guy. I'm glad to hear he's still out having his adventures!
