Not sure this is gonna work, but we'll see. It's a guy playing Amnesia while on Skype, with his buddies watching. I thought it must be fake at first, but not so convinced by the end.

In case it fails, here is the url:

It's pretty silly, but...

Yes yes it's hilarious!  Saw it on reddit.

My point to you is to follow your own instincts and don't listen to naysayers.  Relax.  Ben is your barometer, not other people.  Is he thriving?  Is he happy?  Is he healthy?  Sounds like it to me.  A good communicator?  Yep, got that too.

Thank you Spike.  Made me cry at this.  I mean I cry at everything, but most definitely when it comes to Ben.  Not so much with Jordan (our 10 month old), for some reason.  Maybe because he was so cathartic for me.

We had them late; I was 44 when Ben was born.  But it was such a struggle to get my life going, and he and now Jordan feel like such rewards.  I mean, can the universe reward you for...I don't even know what it would be I was rewarded for.  Not giving up maybe.

Anyway I ordered Arkham Asylum like a couple of folks mentioned.  Showed the trailer to Ben.  When I asked him if it looked interesting he said something like "Daa", which right now is his version of yes.

"Your children are not your children.  They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself".  Gibran wrote that.  I get it.

But I definitely appreciate you guys' support.  FFC/TR feels like my internet home.

I just finished the first one about 30 minutes ago.

It was OKAY.

It was scary for about the first hour...and then a little scary when a big worm started chasing me (reminded me of Alone in the Dark).  Unfortunately all those damn dogs ruined the game.  They weren't terrifying the 3rd time and they weren't terrifying the 12th time.  It just became a matter of finding a box to stand on top of while you swung your pick-axe at them.  I was wary about the spiders...fortunately they weren't really the spindly-legged kind..more like turtles with 8 legs that moved really fast and tried to attack you.  🙂

It did have a nice atmosphere though, and the story was decent.  I really liked the way it ended too...but those damn dogs were definitely a misstep in game design.

I already started playing the Black Plague and it seems a lot more fun since there is zero combat.

I'd give Penumbra Overture a B-.

Hey there!  Glad to be back!  I just got a new graphics card and built a new PC…set up a new desk with a comfy chair…and suddenly I'm all back into PC gaming again.  🙂

Happy New Year!!
