In keeping with my inability to write reviews these days, I just wanted to say that I really liked this game.  It was atmospheric, scary, and well-done, with puzzles that weren't too hard but did require a little thought.  Additionally, the characteriziation was excellent, though the narrative probably left a couple of questions unanswered.  A cool thing the game did was rely on the fiction from the original game in ways I don't want to describe because they're spoilers but which will be evident upon play by anyone who finished the first.

It continued to flesh out the character of Isaac Clarke, who in my mind is every bit as tough as Gordon Freeman--if not tougher.  Honestly if I were going into a fight against monsters possibly from Hell, I think I'd rather have Isaac on my side.

I played it on Win7 and didn't encounter a single crash.  Take that Fallout 3!

The game was graphic--too graphic for me to let Ben to play.  It was SCARY, and it shared the same somber tone of the first.  Also--okay a bit of a spoiler here so I will skip some space for anyone who doesn't want to read it....

It introduced a fabulous character named Ellie.  If Visceral has any sense, it will get her heavily involved in what I'm hoping will be a 3d game.  She was sensational and tough!  She had me hoping Isaac would survive his nihilistic disaster just so they could get together.

I've been playing too many scary games lately but boy this one was good.  It had me wishing that life wasn't so short because I'm going to miss getting to play all the terrific games that come out after I'm gone.
