Ok, I just love Dolly Parton.  What a neat lady.

I just read that Dollyworld... oops Dollywood won 2010 Applause award for best theme park.  Who knew there was such a reward?  While I have no desire to ever visit that place, reading about it did remind me how much I like her.  She was just on Larry King Live tonight and it was a decent interview.  I am sure it will be available soon.

Her book, Dolly: My Life and other Unfinished Business is surprisingly good.  Hey gamers, is there a Dolly video game?  <giggles>

Anyway, just wanted to mention the book and her appearance on the show in case any are interested.

Oh and fun trivia:  Her first country single was titled, Dumb Blond [Image Can Not Be Found]

My family used to tune into the Porter Wagoner show each week on TV back in the late 60s. Dolly Parton was a featured artist and everyone's sweetheart. I know my Dad used to mumble inappropriate shit in front of my mom, who would roll her eyes a lot. At him, not Dolly. She used to play this huge acoustic guitar that covered her from waist to neck. Either she was really short or the guitar was really large. Even then people knew she was special.

Dolly is smart, tough, and talented. Damn funny too--she's an ace interview or talkshow guest. She's never been Nashville treacle even if the production on some of the albums is soaked in same.

Theme parks are hell on earth (or southern California) but Dollywood is on the short list I'd love to visit. So is Stalin world. [Note: Stalin was a very very bad man and is not to be admired. The idea of visiting his theme park or of someone getting me really stoned and making for my consumption sandwiches trimmed into his likeness, or better yet, into the shapes of his forehead, eyes, mustache, and beard for assembly is appealing but this is why I am best ignored.]

There is a Stalin World? Really?  or am I being gullable.  You do tend to trick me sometimes. lol

I guess I'd rather see Dollywood over other theme parks but I could list hundreds of other things I'd rather see.
