I posted much more on the old FFC board, but have been lurking here quietly for the past few years, so you may not remember me too much. Even so, it seemed appropriate to post, because as someone who has also wrestled with depression, my heart goes out to Finkbug.
Something like this always leaves you speechless. This is the second time in as many years that someone in my personal circle of acquaintances died by suicide. Finkbug's loss will be deeply felt by those who love him for a long time to come. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I just got this and am tremendously saddened by this news. When I used to lurk at FFC back in '04/'05 or thereabouts, Ethan contributed a great deal to the very cerebral, energetic, and entertaining forums that made the place so much fun. I want to express my sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones.

I would like to make a children's book about Ethan's Rabbit in the Moon story. I would love to have Orb illustrate it. Is she still around? If anyone knows how to get in touch with her, please let me know. My hope is to pictures to his words and make a children's book. Any proceeds going to a library or some such.....not sure where I am going with this but I think you all may have some good ideas
From Ethan's brother today:
To Ethan's friends: His ashes were spread this morning in the ocean. It was cool and cloudy just as he would have wanted it. The next time you see the waves rolling you can think of Ethan at peace. Thank you all for the thoughts, stories and support over the past month. It has been greatly appreciated by his whole family.
Aud, I bet Jen is still watching this thread and she can surely get in touch with Orb. I'd be happy to help with layout and production if need be, I lay out children's books as a side job. Keep us posted. Thanks also for the message from Ethan's brother. Ethan's part of the sea now, and hopefully at peace.
