I'd love to take pictures of the glorious mix of pristine and rotted those'll be in fifty years. Assuming in the interim they're not used as teen party towns, which seems likely. I'm also in for taking pictures of drunk coeds. Just sayin'.

I continue to be amazed that there are still people who think they can make themselves safe if things go south.  OK, I know I will annoy people but......... here I go.   The only way to make yourself safe is to work to make the world a safe and sustainable boat in the universe for everyone who lives here.  Done.  My rant.  kay

I beg to differ, Kay, the way to make yourself safe is to sustain trillion-dollar wars that accomplish nothing while education, social security, and medical care collapse out of penury. The best way to ensure your safety is to spend lots of money killing people who look or talk different from you. Or renting a space in a hole to hide when the bombs come.

Life is the misery we endure between disappointments.

My dust bunny army is now large enough to divert resources toward research. Apocalypse Mk1, I'm covered. They're working on Mk2 now. Something about gene splicing dust mites into me as support organelles but I don't ask details. Evil genius is all about delegating to minions.

I shouldn't have been so flippant.  For almost 10 years I've been angry with my government.  Been angry with the politicians.  Been angry with the American people who, through ignorance, became fearful.  And through fear became hateful.  Their fear let them listen to, and believe, politicians who said "We're in danger.  Follow us and we'll protect you."  Now we have an ignorant bunch of sheep having tea parties when they should be thinking.  We have people worrying about what awful things such as evolution and non-judeo-christian history and values are worming their way into textbooks when they should be looking behind the curtains that the greedy and power-mad are hiding behind.

Jen, your outlook is so sunny. Most of everybody is fat bell curve or below, and most of them move large pieces of metal at high speeds. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Anybody who's read The Road will know that it's going to take a hell of a lot more than a finite supply of tinned food and a HDTV to survive. Besides, how the hell with they get to the vault in time? Unless they're given good warning that everything is going to go breasts skyward they'll be toast before they get anywhere near the place!
