This appeared in The New York Times this past Sunday in the Arts section. It's an article about the future of 3D.

"As an animated film with a few human figures composted in, “Avatar” is well positioned to bridge the gap."

"Composted"?

Good to see our major newspapers are so up on technology.

Didn't I read that these Blue People are really into Nature? If so, they wouldn't dream of a lifestyle without composting.   Without revealing spoilers, the NYT is hinting the plot involves Blue People convincing humans to compost.

My take. [Image Can Not Be Found]

I think that composting people, only at the very end of their lives, of course, is a great solution to the huge amount of space that cemetaries take up.  And then there is the bonus for the environment.

Buncha blue tree-huggin' hippie crap, if you ask me. Compost? Hmph! In my day we had garbage, and we liked it. None of this Gaia-worshipping back to nature commune with the spirit of the earth mojo. Go paint yerself with henna. Go cover yerself in patchouli. Go on a vision quest or whatever it is you damn dirty hippies do when the good people of the world are taking showers.

"Compost," you say. That's just a fancy college word for "big pile o crap in the back yard." Everyone knows fertilizers are made o' chemicals.

God damned heathen flower-power hippie terrorists.

Life is the misery we endure between disappointments.

Umm...

Well put, Steerpike, as always...

But we're trying to compost, mostly for the fun of growing our own Italian Parsley.  Maybe some tomatoes... definately strawberries.

Not the total hippie thing.  Just a little fun from crazy folk. [Image Can Not Be Found]

But... um... isn't the topic what we all think of almost completely CGI movies?

Anyone have an opinion on that?

Anyone, anyone... (anyone see Ferris Buller's Day Off?) [Image Can Not Be Found]

STILL trying to download my on-line personality. … and looking at things from a funny angle …
