The quickest way to describe this would be: Dark Age of Camelot meets Minecraft on steroids. It's IGN Wiki is bit less quick quickest intro, it's building is 100% free form and this is video by Necromaniak - one of players in alpha tests. Below are some finished buildings (after many, many hours...):

Buildings can be completely destroyed - unless you build offline or in starting zones BUT there will be siege windows (time for destruction) and it should take big number of players and siege engines.

Also, this shows just the style and choices of one man - majority of players goes for more standard medieval castle / palace look. Game access now is not cheap (and, frankly, not worth the money at this point - unless you want to support the project) but beta should start in a month or two (?) and they should have open beta in 2017.

JamesGoblin, sorry it keeps requiring that your posts get approved -- it's not supposed to do that since you've already been approved, I'll get it worked out.

I never played Dark Age of Camelot, but I know it was a favorite, especially among the old-skool MMO players. Add "Minecraft on steroids" and you have my attention... and the detail on the buildings is very unlike what you usually see from stuff like this. Much more custom feeling. I'm interested to see more, that video was worth the watch. Thanks!

No problem with approvals, but I had some finding more recent C.U.B.E. images - NDA is still on and the majority of material is from 2015, which makes it look even Minecraftier:

Adding round/cylindrical shapes, wider choice of textures etc. will help with looks, but there is only couple rather basic curvy demos available so far. It seems that the team is currently focused on "building" of physics and destruction, which is much more challenging than the visuals.

If nothing else, it'll certainly allow for some really creative... er, creations. Color me intrigued.

Speaking of creativity, I hope we won't see too much penis-buildings or, say, spaceships. I'd find the latter even worse in medieval fantasy game. The joys of free form building...
