Do you suppose accepting the quest resets the dungeon? I forgot that I need to look for the fancy shoes that should be in Ostian. I don't see any nice dwellings where they might be found. I need to do some more exploring around town.

This time in the Unknown Dungeon I found the guy with the tablet in the room near the end with the hexagonal plates floating on lava. He wasn't there the first time through so it definitley reset. Pokey, did you go past him to the other side over the lava and look in that niche with that big bowl thingie? Behind it on the floor was a dead adventurer which is where I believe found the Black Death robe. The quest journal says I have all 3 tablets though I still see one active. I guess I go back to Gervais and hope for the best. Hopefully I didn't break the quest by looting that cave twice. Man I swear those blue fire elementals were way tougher the second time. I hit level 30 in there but I don't think creatures are supposed to level up with us are they?

Also I thought I had removed the thingie on the Erothn teleport disk but the game still says I can't teleport there. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Scout, that is where I thought I couldn't go any further. I just grabbed the tablet and left. That was a long jump. Should have tried it anyway. Another one to check later. There were some tough creatures in there. I used my bow and sneak to get an advantage.

There should be three teleporters not working, Erothin, Giliad and Salen.

Yeah that jump gave me pause the first time but it's actually not that bad. Not that I didn't miss it the first two times...

I found something called the Dark Death Gauntlets which Toni mentioned were really Black Death Gauntlets.

I found them at

the end of the Northern Border Fortress, just past Amora the big spider on yet another dead adventurer.  This place is at the very end of the northern road into Treomar.

Fortify Destruction 5 pts

Fortify Illusion 5 pts

Fortify Magicka 20 pts

Fortify Willpower 3 pts.

Just have the hood to go.

I screwed up with the teleporter at Erothin and had to do it again. It works this time. And Gervasius sent me on my way to find the other 2 tablets so I'm not crazy after all. I'm down around the Teromar area now looking around.

And I. played an hour past Darius' place where you get the plate armor. Then went to his place where I need another keystone. W.T.F.?? Nothing in inventory, reloaded back to room w/ no-go button/armor - yup, read the scroll about a keystone, "this is the keystone, blah blah" but can't pick up the scroll.

Reload again back to Darius' place where I need keystone. No. Go.

Reload again back to Darius' place where I get plate armor, do pipes (again), maybe I can pick up scroll now? No. Go. W.T.F.?? Finally, finally chanced to mouse over tiny gray blob on a square.....whataya know, a keystone. [Image Can Not Be Found] [Image Can Not Be Found] [Image Can Not Be Found]

Do not feel like replaying finding way out, killing undead, misc. other stuff...tonight. Rather play the closed beta of Forsaken World. Or resume Bioshock 2.  Anything but repeat, repeat.

I did that too. Yes, 4 keystones. This game can be a grind that way.

Like now in Treomar, endless creatures. I've fought at least 50 tonight just in the central ruins. All tough. The iceball works much better than the fireball in the ruins but the fireball works better in the surrounding grass lands.

Found the big T-Rex finally. Ulp. Drank many potions and it was fine. Potions are powerful in this game. And cheap.

Finallly found the way up to the glider, took the ride and quit the night on the south watchtower. I had to exit and restart to make the buffeting wind noise go away. After the last tablet tomorrow. Call me Indiana X. X is the name of my player character.

#1 I am getting senile. [Image Can Not Be Found] Why did I think that I must reload & replay pipes/get out/kill escaped undead in order to pick up keystone #4? Tonight, after replaying everything from an earlier save, it occurred to me,"You stupid-head, why couldn't you simply go back into that dungeon & pick it up after you discovered it missing?" Ahhhhh…..creeping senility…..

#2 Having slight difficulty finding my way in Erothin Castle. Jumped to where guy fell off roof….opened gate, looked around…lost now on where next. In truth, I fell off the roof and am currently dead till I reload to autosave. [Image Can Not Be Found] But when I do, I need help!

#3 Despite creeping senility I realized why this game is so fun: No level scaling! Mobs do not level higher as you do! Hooray!

In Erothin Castle, I just kept running around on the roof tops. That note with castle directions was next to usleess for me. I never did find a shaft or maybe I just entered above it. I just kept climbing up the rooftops until I couldn't go any further and then went inside off some balcony. I was very near the big guy's chamber at the point. Went up a couple more flights and found it. The puzzle in the chamber was fun. I was worried I was gonna get busted but no one ever came around to see who that woman in the shiny red armor was making all that racket.

I went back to Treomar to do the Nexus Halls quest and discovered it doesn't exist. Feh. [Image Can Not Be Found] A wasted hour in Treomar.

Now that I no longer have anything left to do in the Middlerealm I can teleport there... I hate that little thing rpg devs do...you know how you don't get the good stuff until you no longer need it. Has anyone told them how much that damages their product?

I'm doing the quest from the house I bought. Heading south now after checking out that house. I hope to finally see some tropical climes. I have two sets of nice shoes I need to take to queen bee too.

Yapette, I had to go back to get the last keystone cause I also overlooked it even when I thought I remembered it. But yeah, you don't need to replay the whole thing as you discovered.

Ok I did go through the gate, around the wall, looked up to see walkway which I tried to reach, but fell off the roof to certain death.

I will reload & look around more carefully.

Yes!  I only just this evening realized…no level scaling! We oldsters have a lot on our minds! [Image Can Not Be Found] (years worth o' accumulated nuthin')

EDIT: can't go fast enough. 🙁

Are you going through the front gate, making a left and going up a ladder?

And then 5 or 6 more ladders to a bunch of narrow rooftops?

Thanks, finally found the room. Now the spheres are too fast for me. Have equipped anything I happened to have with speed, agility, acrobat & buff self w/ +3 speed spell.

Any suggestions? Is there a better order? Can't really see the left lever around the door jam & keep falling off the stairs. Usually I start w/ left, jump down & go right, end with middle. Sometimes L, M, R. Doesn't matter, never more than 2 there when I look.  Granted, it was 1:30 am when I was trying, not my strongest athletic hour.

It took me quite a few tries. I started on the stairs, since that lever is hard to see, jumped down to the one in the arch and then the one behind the books. There is plenty of time, but I had a problem with getting the hand icon to show up right away. Take notice of where to click (which brick, etc.) and remember the location.

I used the same order and method as Pokey. Find the spot that will trigger the lever and memorize each one. It's the fiddling around trying to see the lever that was slowing me down. Jumping down off the stairs toward the arch lever also saves a second. Practice the route a few times. There is time.

I'm in Chapter 3 and following the main guy around but I'm stuck on at a part where these stone platforms are floaing in lava. I've hit all the pressure plates, scoured every inch of the available area and nothing. I thought I had hit a dead end earlier on the ramps with the wooden bridges. I ran into one of the raised bridges and suddenly dropped into a whole new area without any idea how I got there. The big elf was down there too I thought I was on track. But so far I don't see any way forward. Will try again this evening after work. Hope I didn't break something falling through that raised bridge.

Scout, I'm not sure, but it sounds like you are at the spot that stumped me for a while. Couldn't find the lever he was talking about. Did you try going forward down the steps into the lava?

Maybe you got lucky on the bridges. I recommend a hard save right before them, as I almost did a quick save after the first one. I would have been stuck.

Now I believe it's onto the quest-rails I go. Haven't seen Kim in everso.

Scout, now that I think about it, those platforms are 2 big round ones? The guy, I think it is Callisto, will have you step on the pressure plate and then he will step on his. You will repeat to get across. I assume you haven't gone through the sliding walls and swinging hammers? If nothing is happening, maybe you did break the game. The lava part I was thinking about before is later.

I did break the game, twice now. First I fell through the wooden drawbridge as it raised and I was trying to make it across. I landed back on the first level of platforms below, that area just before you rise up that screw device elevator. So I was stuck down there. So I reloaded back to after I solved the floating ball puzzle where the guy was supposed to be in his tunnel parallel to mine but somehow he ended up in my tunnel with me so when we got to the big lava lake the second time and I pressed the plate to lower his bridge he couldn't cross.

I've reloaded a third time and now he is in his own tunnel and I am finally back to the wooden drawbridges and have made a hard save This level is very, very buggy, bordering on broken.

When you shoot the arrow, make sure you see an effect. I missed the center of the target and did not get extra time. Then step on the pressure plate and you should have time to make it around. I don't recall any bugs.
