If you haven't done the shipyard quest for Gervasius, I'd do that first before heading to Treomar area. It is fairly short.

Replayed the 'kill the undead" portion of the Darius Quest with no damage to endurance at all. I did find the Bale Keeper, that big red devil who laps up fireballs for breakfast but hates him some shockball, and didn't get it from him this time. Oh well, off to the Darius Temple. I just hope I have that last key with me and haven't left it behind in all the excitement. Guess I better check before I head south again.

Yapette, I use the horse for those long trips when I know the trails will be somewhat straight. When it gets tight and curvy, I just go by foot and recall the horse once I hit the more open areas. I found that if I take my hand off the mouse when riding the horse I don't get that disorientating shift that comes with involuntary mouse movement. I just use the keys only then. It seems to help with some of the awkwardness.

Toni, I have a save from when I first sighted the ghostrider. Assuming I haven't deleted it or emptied recycling bin. I'll load it & see if I can pinpoint his location. Too bad we don't have map coordinates.

EDIT:

In game World Map (not printed one), in caps on left above ruins of Treomar is "DAS REICH TREOMAR"

The road heading SW to locked N gate above Treomar forks off SE to a 3-fingered lake - take it by making a left.

Just before lakes, road splits again - take right fork heading S.

Traveling along that road heading south, with water on your left, I spotted the ghostrider ahead. In my save, I stood where his horse stopped when I shot the first fireball. The horse is on the road, about straight N of the letter "A" in TREOMAR (ingame, not printed, world map).

Good Luck! Unless he fell off a cliff or some other npc got to him before you did. 😉

Ran into the Ghost Rider in the same place Pokey and Yapette mentioned. I accidentally hit the horse the first time I attacked and reloaded, knowing about vengeful horses from Oblivion. Next try I hit the rider and backed away fast so that we fought away from the horse. Got the Armegeddon 2h sword. It's about 50 pts damage with a damage strength enchantment but it's very heavy and slow to use. I'm going to use it for a while till I find a 1h to replace my pirate sword but it's not THAT powerful from the few times I used it. Still takes 2 or 3 hits to take down a northern wolf. My IV fireball is still my go-to weapon. Plus I lose the armor protection of my sheild. I read that they nerfed it with the patch which I've reinstalled.

The ghost rider is dark and glows and is travelling slowly. Look for Ghost Rider Lazael.

I took the ghost horse back to the monastary and left it with my dappled horse. It is unuseable anyway due to the fps hits while riding it. I guess my dappled is jealous cause now she is wandering off.

I'm collecting the Blood Mage armor. I have the curaiss, the gauntlets and the shield. Anyone know where the boots, etc. are?

I must have hit the horse. No wonder he was so fierce. Maybe I'll try again, though the sword doesn't sound so great.

I have only the Blood Mage curaiss. I like the enhancements. Do you recall where you came across the other pieces? Do they have good enhancements?

I did find and kill the big T-Rex. The loot was nice. Seeing what else I can find around Treomar.

Later…I picked up quite a bit of loot exploring the Treomar ruins. My sneak is high enough now that I can stand at a distance and blast a powerful enemy with my fireball, usually without him realizing where I am. Left my mark so I can go back later.

I have 20K now and thinking about buying the house. Anyone done it?

The sheild

is at Marres Sentry Halls straight east of Salen, just past and NE of the Shrine of Erotan. Go all the way to the end of the halls.

The gauntlets:

Go south from Cahabet till the trail makes a "T". Go riight and then take a left at the next intersection, hook around and south to the end of the trail at Excavation Site. Go all the way to the end of the trail where you run into skeleton guards. From the Excavation Site you can take a short pass cross country through the mountains down to the Mountain Monastery.

Well, I'm actually having fun with the Armegeddon sword because it's so, so large. And my character carries iit like deadly little Miho in Sin City.[Image Can Not Be Found]

EDIT:

Gauntlets - all constant effect

Fortify Willpower 3pts on self

Fortify Illusion 4 pts on self

Fortify Destruction 4pts on self

Shield - all constant effect

Fortify Magicka 18 pts

Spell Absorbtion 5 pts

Scout, thanks. Those sound great. I'm off to find them. I'm pretty much done with quests unless I enter Chap 3.

Let you know if I find any more.

I found Ghost Rider….was drowning ina lake [Image Can Not Be Found]….

thanks Yapette

I guess i fired a fireball at him or skeletons and mabey hit him….due to VERY low fps i couldnt tell….guess it started chasing me, but i run of across lake (have water walking ring), because fps…when i came around from south side fps was normal, but i didnt saw him…

poor fellow was stuck ina lake with horse and was hostile to me…now im sure i have must hit him sometime but couldn't tell it was it….

that episode is only time i had graphic problems…and now when i found him…think its a problem with a horse

Scout, im pretty sure u can find all blood mage set before south,  i completed it with a gauntlets at excavation  site…think rest can be found NE coast/region except Hood…think it was somewhere in north realm

As i mentioned u can't get FULL SET bonus because 2 head parts (hood and helmet)..and u can find 2 shields, 2 armors and 2 helmets

Scout, I found the shield where you said it would be. When the message about the armor set came up, I copied the pieces down. It includes: greaves, gauntlets, hood, armor, boots, shield and helmet.

I'm heading out to find the gauntlets.

Great, Toni, glad you found him. I think my "draw distance" is turned off in the Dark Forest. (~ then tll) Framerates are bad but not nearly as jerkafying as in Erothin. Could be due to adding QTP3 (Qarl's Texture Pack) + even more meshes.

Pokey, I bought the house with my first 10k. Adds some quests.

Helmut, if you're still out there & manage to persevere? Highly suggest installing the mini map mod (requires adding OBSE too) which will save you hours of grief-inducing tabbing. Nips one major whine at the bud. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Right now I'm wearing a mishmash of all types of armor. One outfit includes all-in-one shirt/pants/gaunlets so doesn't allow additional pieces. When I swap, usually forget to add gloves when I can. Haven't explored any of the E coast besides going with Kim, maybe I'd better.

Pokey, any idea where you found the Blood Mage curiass? Alas, I can't help anyone – no idea where I got any parts to any sets.

EDIT: Helmut, fogot the most important news….last night I bought Metro 2033 for $13.60 USD on steam!!! Tried the demo first, it was gorgeous & played flawlessly, but no way can I play without a trainer... which is why I'm not posting this on the front page in your review for all to read.

Yap, I don't remember where I got the Blood Mage armor. It has been a while since I picked it up. I should start making notes when I find something good.  I'm going to buy the house.

Took the boat across to Tirin Abbey yesterday but I'll probably uninstall tomorrow [Image Can Not Be Found]

No one mentioned early on too much about builds. Has anyone discovered any particularly advantageous class? I am a half-Aeterna. I thought I was supposed to have a magic based heritage but my major skills are all bashers.

That's a great price on Metro. I had to look up what a trainer does. It runs alongside the game and modifies memory positions in game memory to keep things like ammo and health always in top condition. Amazing!

Curaiss

in Alcazar's Bastion, south of Lonely Towers (towers are south of Pirate Cave). From Lonely Towers go west to first intersection. Turn left and follow trail south to the Bastion. The curaiss is at the back in the throne room. After you fight Alcazar look up on the ledge above the throne.

The curaiss has:

Fortify Magicka 10 pts on self

Fortify Willpower 5 pts

Fortify Destruction 3 pts

Fortify Restoration 3 pts

All constant effect

Helmut, I'm a Paladin with most pts in Intelligence, Willpower, Blade and Light Armor. Secondary focus on Acrobatics.

I think that Blood mage armour is in zerobilion at final boss chamber, but im not sure

Pokey, If u buy house, ull start TRACES quest

Helmut, marksman + sneak (thief) is great for clearing dungeons later, when u max stats, but its bad in man to man fights or crowd control..

Warrior is boring and its hard  higher level areas…..Mage is fun, but hard in close combat and in closed rooms….

i used mage birth sign and max destruction marksman and sneak……needed blade so much!

Mage stances are usefull, ….dont know for other.. in my 2 game ill use thief birthsign, but im waiting for patch

My edit...yes scout..u r right for cuirras...its

ona ledge above throne

im sorry for mistake

Toni's a mage & we three are "paladins" (battlemages). Only two kinds of armor: heavy & light. No obvious penalty for wearing one or the other except for the LPs spent in one you don't wear. Pick a weapon (hint: blunt not so good, so ranged or blade), armor. Unless pure warrior, some kind of magic (we four are destruction). Restoration to heal. By all means mix potions.

I too am a half-Aeterna. I periodically whined in this thread about npcs hating us & saying ugly things about my race. You'll find that out soon enough....if you stay playing. [Image Can Not Be Found] Felt instant kinship when I finally met someone who looked like me.

Even with a trainer, Metro 2033 may defeat me. FPS are fps, I'm an rpg wimp who needs game skills based on leveling points, not players' actual skills.

Dumb me, I must have the curiass. I grabbed all the gear on that ledge long ago. I thought a "curiass" was a sword. [Image Can Not Be Found] [Image Can Not Be Found]

I got the gauntlets and then went to the N entrance to Treomar. The gate is now open. Cleared out the Northern Border Fortress and then tracked down the Ghost Rider again and got Armageddon. He was in the same spot as before.

Later, I went into the mountains and visited the Snow Witch and a couple other places near there. Since I am near the Sanctum for a quest, I thought I would visit Amanda and finish that one, but I can't find her. Any hints on where the entrance to her new home might be?

Pokey, Amanda's grotto enttrance is just down in a small hollow immediately to the right of the main entrance of the Sanctum, just past the bridge and before you enter (if you could). It's a trap door that's a bit hard to see so don't look for the usuall wooden door in the cliff dealie.

Made it out of the underworld finally and am in Cahabert (sic), poking around while my guide waits to lead me into some kind of fight. I got the missing brewer quest. Once I get this squared away I'm off to the east to try and hunt down the rest of the blood mage armor.

Is anyone esle getting a funny message when they die. Once in a while I get this flashed up on the screen: Blood Mages's Embrace 2 parts bonus added. But it only comes on when I die and even then not every time. At firstr I thought it meant that dying upped the enchantments. Heh, I was ready to start jumping off cliffs down in the dwarve mines for about a week then saw that I was wrong.

I read what Toni wrote about the Mist Tower triggering Chapter 3. Is that a quest or a location in a quest? I want to explore a while after following star people around for the last hour.

Has anyone returned to the Dwarve's Mines and poked around?

I cleaned out a bit of the Treomar ruins when I was down there but found the library door and went right in. Man there are some ghost mages down there in the ruins with some killer ranged spells.
