The letter says if we put it in our security box, we'll get 25% of weekly (?) revenues at the bath house. We're part owners. So inside 2222 was my secure trunk and that other box. So I put it in that other box.

I'm going in now and try again. I'm lvl 13 but hours of questing behind you guys. Gervasius? Never heard of him. [Image Can Not Be Found] Already spent almost 3 nights of playtime exploring, crashing & losing all progress in Erothin. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Well then, I'd better put my letter in too. Gervasius is the old guy with the archeology quest. He lives in a big house in Erothin.

I'm level 15 now and halfway through the Kim quest to Waverock. Pretty easy so far, which is good because Kim is not lifing a finger to help.

Ick to those golems who must be killed using three steps. I can't.

Ohhhhh, Old Man G. That quest I got 30 screen-locks ago.Saw his name in my quest log after I wrote that I'd never heard of him, couldn't recall where I might have met him. [Image Can Not Be Found] Thanks.

When I finally got back to the Sanctum, I vaguely began to remember all that backstory about Sanctums & Magic & the Order. Seems like a million years ago when I was told all that.

I am having good luck with a single home brewed Restore Magicka potion before big battles. I think I get like 5 or 6 fireball III spells off before it wears off and I run out of Magicka. And they are cheap to make. If I'm going after a boss I also take a Restore Health and sometimes a Restore Endurance and then I can roll right over them while my bars all keep filling faster than I can use them. But if there are two then it's a coin flip if I'll survive over a couple or three hits. And then there are the misses from firing too far out.

I believe I put the deed in the lockbox that is inside 222. Now when I go to the bank I only have to talk to the manager for deposits and withdrawls. I should dump all my gold in there for a while and let it add up. I'm just carrying it around right now thinking I'll need it but when I'm out in the boonies it's useless anyway.

I saw a level IV rune last night. I wonder what the leveling cap is for this game.

Ah, damage pots on weapons. I forgot all about that. I've just been selling them.

I've had decent luck lately with lock ups and crashes. I did install the No Stutter mod while I was fussing with the MiniMap. I should probably install the No Crash Mod too just for luck.

Getting bored with running on the paths so I'm cutting through the woods a lot. That does have the benefit of focusing your mind with all the local fauna striving to eat you.

Thanks for info that drinking prior to battle is the gift that keeps on giving.

My info:

1. Think, think, people about what we know about Magic. [Image Can Not Be Found] Always, silver is best against undead! I had forgotten. In other words, my +shock best damage sword is not as effective as a silver dagger against skellies & such. Even mages tremble in their boots.

2. Found a staff with +45 shock damage!!! My former was +10 shock. It's on the Boss at very bottom of Manag Crypt Telsa which can be found under the letter 'L' in the word Forest of Salathin (world map). Almost due N of the Sanctum, top of that ovaloid path above that pointy path above the Sanctum. (confused yet?)

On the forums, I think one person said he reached lvl 25 on his first play through, second time he was lvl 35.

I'm in chapter 2 now and trying to escape from the sewers. I pulled three different levers but don't see that I have accomplished anything. I am at the top looking down. How do I get out of here?

There has certainly been a lot of action and excitement since I took off with Kim.

Thanks, ToniCVRK. Welcome to the board.

After a night's sleep, I finally sorted it out. Back in Erothin and the new quests are not above my level.

Welcome, ToniCvrk, it's great to have you with us. Thanks for the quest list, the one I don't recognize is Traces. Although it can be said I don't pay attention to Quest Titles….just like I don't pay attention to npc names so tend to make up one that is close but not accurate. [Image Can Not Be Found]

I do NOT want to advance into Chap 2 as I'm quite happy puttering around in Chap 1. Anyone know the trigger?

Pokey, I checked my "mana" and I have….maybe…300? Or is it 200? Wearing every +mana equipment I have & choose intell & willpower every level-up since we had to pick our class.

What I suck at – BIG TIME – is lock picking & persuasion due to playing Oblivion with mods that changed both skills from the get-go. In Nehrim I must use auto- to pick locks and after v. easy & easy, that's not going to work anymore.  And persuasion….after trying the tutorial in Oblivion, I have never again tried that horrible wheel which makes no sense to me.

ToniCvrk, what class are you playing? Are you finished the game or somewhere in between? You listed the Darius Quest line…I was nervous about that one. Every page on SureAI's English forum has at least one thread on that quest. Now, I feel better. You must have played it already so you can be our inhouse, very own Darius quest expert. The trigger: (more details for the trigger added)

From what I can remember, it was after the quest to Stormwend Tower with Kim had ended. I went back to the Sanctum to discover a big battle raging between the Mages and the Chancellor. Upon the end of that battle, Chapter 2 started.

I started chapter 2 at level 10 and like ToniCrvk says, areas become unavailable.

Hi Toni, welcome to the thread.

I cut out some sentences in my post above as it was getting toooo long. (like Steerpike's front page articles. [Image Can Not Be Found] should he venture to read this thread)

I used Charm spells in Oblivion but lockpicking was based on a modded skill (ability?), more points = increased success. What I wonder in Nehrim, will a spell for Charm & Lockpick work without putting any points in their modifying skill? I always assume there will be a high failure rate unless the skill (like sneak or Illusion or whatever) is mid-range. I can't afford to spend the learning pts.

I will avoid Kim. Haven't seen his goofy face since I saved him & if I do, I'll ignore him.

Lvl 25 and just entered Chapter 2! You are a supreme completist! Every thing living...or undead...wiped from the map. [Image Can Not Be Found]

How do you avoid damage as a mage? Potions? Shield spells? That asked, I realize this game creates a pretty level armor field seeing as light armor is worn by all, I'm assuming, but warriors.  Everyone suffers from it's puny protection.

Thank u all for welcome notes...I'm new to this, so Scout how do u make that "Reveal Spoiler" thing?

U really got to go dungeon chase....Every one of them is worth visiting....And make u advance in skills and u can find armor sets that give u bonuses.

i tried first to go only for quests, but found myself in areas 14-24 at the begining so it was sometimes  imposible to runaway from animals...

So i went to every dungeon in area 1-7, then 7-14 etc...Now i'm lvl 25 and my fireball kills with a single shot (creatures up to lvl cca 15).

Toni, when you are typing a reply look in the edit bar at the top of Reply to Topic for the grayed out smilie with sunglasses. Highlight your text and it will activate then just click on it.

Don't worry too much about spoliers in the Bollocks forum. It's sort of understood there will be spoilers galore here. I occasionally use the spoiler tag in case it's really a big plot point so people searching don't smack into one. But we give out little spoliers here all the time.

Ditto to what Scout said about spoilers.  Usually the group playing together in Bollocks is at about the same point in the game. If any get way ahead, that's when we might hide story lines, plot twists. If it's something that was intentionally designed to be tricky- catch you unaware - forces a tough moral decision....those we keep silent about.

How to win against the Bandit Boss or kill golems with weap+special dagger+spell - that kind of info isn't secret -> it's ok to tell all! share hints & strategies, please! [Image Can Not Be Found]

(I did get past those golems, finally. Let my sidekicks do most of the work)
