For those of you unaware, the Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup tonight for the first time since 1993. It was the first win by a visiting team in a final series seventh game since the 1979 Philadephia Phillies. The Penguins defeated Subtropical Southeastern Michigan's very own Detroit Red Wings.

Perhaps you could explain how that team continuously has such a deep pool of talent? What with the salary cap, I'd expect them to come back to the mean in a few years but they are a perennial presence at the top of the league. Good ownership, I guess, and perhaps some nine sticks forged in the unquenchable foundries of hell.

Seriously though, congrats to the Pittsburgh. And no, I wasn't one of those crazy people on Sunday ripping up downtown Los Angeles and setting fire to trees. I think some of those people needed a bit more discipline in their childhoods!
