This week on Side by Side, Joel Goodwin of Electron Dance and I play the digital board game Daka Dara by Sugarsnapp Games.
Daka Dara is based on a centuries old West African board game called Dara. It’s a game about out-positioning your opponent, matching your pieces up and removing theirs in the process. It fits right in amongst Checkers, Chess and Go. I was concerned that this may have been a little ‘dry’ for Side by Side but the result is… well, unexpectedly, one of the funniest episodes, and I certainly laugh more in this than any other that comes to mind.
If you go over to Electron Dance right now, you’ll see that Joel has just finished Stephen’s Sausage Roll. Joel’s a thinker. He’s sharp. He’s got a PhD in maths. I’m a thinker too, but I don’t got none of those things. Place your bets on who came out tops and who came to love/hate Oreos more.
