The Log is late again. But can you really stay mad at a face like that?
The truth is, we’ve been having an absolute scorcher in the UK just recently, what with the delayed appearance of something called the “Sun“. I hear it’s a more regular feature in other parts of the world, but I and many of my compatriots are suspicious of it. What is it doing? What is it for? Why does it turn my skin a pinky shade of red? And when are the clouds and the wind and the rain coming back?
Alas, my first thought was naturally to stay in doors and continue to chip away at my backlog of games, but my wife insists we should probably try and enjoy the hot weather while it’s here. Summer doesn’t tend to agree with me. Summer makes me sneeze and that itchy, itchy grass makes me, well, itchy. Even beer is not my friend, refreshing as it is. Hay fever, sunburn and itchy skin are merely added complications when you have a hangover. The Joys of Summer, indeed.
As a result, I’ve not quite managed to find the time to update this months Log up until now. But here we are, better late than never. It was originally my intention to update each Log at the end of every month anyway, which seems a more logical way of doing things, so perhaps this is the start of something altogether more organised. Thanks, summer time!
Oh, and one more thing. Next month I’ll be posting a longer post updating the scores of everyone who has taken part in the Log of Shame thus far, so make sure your scores are up to date before the last week or so in June. Even if you haven’t updated for a couple of months, feel free to jump back into the game at any time. I feel we’re approaching Steam sale time sooner than later. And that’s when things get really interesting.
